HOW THE MEETINGS WORK

We start with a few short stories and, depending on your preference, we:

  • spend a meeting or two around each story, because there will be more you’ll want to say or discuss
  • take a deep reading approach and zoom in on paragraphs or details that get your attention – share how intrigued or puzzled you are by a phrase or a scene

AND / OR

You may also want to:

  • choose a short novel and discuss it chapter by chapter or section by section
  • practice giving a summary, or something like a review
  • tell me about a book I have not read, detailing aspects of plot, its themes, the way it impacted you

We are flexible, adjusting as we go, mostly based on how much you’ll want to read.
